Hannah Grace - Bigger Picture

Hannah Grace Delivers an Inspiring and Soulful Sophomore Album: Bigger Picture

“I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to collaborate with so many friends and talented creatives. It has really felt like a team effort and I’m so proud of what we made.”

Hannah Grace released her exquisitely heartfelt and effortlessly beautiful second album, Bigger Picture, at the end of last month. The record weaves together vulnerability, emotion, optimism and soul with notable ease. Written between her home in Cardiff and a studio in Nashville, the album carries the spirit of both places. “I was lucky enough to be given Arts Council funding back in 2023 that included funding a writing trip to Nashville.” Hannah shares. “On the trip I worked Christian Harger for the first time. We wrote a bunch of songs together and from the demos I knew I wanted him to produce the new album. So, after that trip myself and Christian worked together remotely to finish the record. I’m so grateful I had this opportunity to make the album this way and make it via my favourite music City.”

For a while, though, it seemed this album might never have happened. “After the pandemic I felt really lost in music. I really didn’t know what I was going to do next.” Hannah confesses. “After reaching out to friends and other creatives for advice I slowly got back into music and found a new love for it. I started a residency live show in Camden, started writing more songs and applied for loads of funding! When the Arts Council funding came through that gave me the confidence to really give music another go and it led me to where I am now. It really showed me that sometimes it’s the little steps that lead to the bigger things.” Thankfully, the funding gave Hannah the chance to create what has now become her most treasured album.

Her music has continued to touch the hearts of many fans, with Patreon playing a key role in supporting this new chapter. “I started my Patreon back in 2021 after my friend suggested it. It’s been growing ever since and this community funded a huge portion of the album including the entire vinyl order!” Hannah tells. “It really means the world to have so much amazing support – it reminds me that people really want to hear the music. The internet can be a really hard place to exist so I am so grateful to have a corner of the internet that supports me so much.”

And truly, what a dreamy corner of the internet it is to be a Hannah Grace fan.

Bigger Picture unfolds like a journey, entwining soul, pop, and heartfelt balladry. The opening tracks immediately pull you in with their catchy and passionate energy that set the tone for what’s to come. Hannah’s vocals are a constant highlight, carrying an incredible power while remaining smooth and honey-like, striking the perfect balance between strength and sweetness.

As the album moves through its middle, the music slows into more reflective spaces – piano-led songs with depth and vulnerability balanced by poppier, uplifting moments that give the record its heartbeat. By the end, the album bursts with joy and warmth, blending genres and dreamy textures before closing on a tender, piano-led note that feels both intimate and expansive.

I get anxious and sad about the world all the time, so writing this music and recording it was a way for me to channel energy into hopeful optimism whilst still acknowledging the struggle. Sometimes we just need to take a step back and see the bigger picture – this album is a chance for people to give themselves the space and time they need to heal.” – Hannah Grace.
