London-born singer-songwriter Isabelle Mettle has recently released her latest two-sided single, Dreamz, with Liverpool-based indie label Merciful Sound. At just 20 years old, Mettle’s already an emerging talent with a soulful sound and seven original tracks, including her debut Orange, released at age 15. Currently based in Liverpool, you can often catch Mettle performing live with her band, Sir Zebra.
Mettle’s dual-sided single is an exceptional assemblage of pop and alternative R&B, delving into the complexities of love, loss, and self-discovery while showcasing the artist’s talent and style. The collection begins with Dreamz, a vibrant and energetic track that takes listeners on a thrilling journey of excitement and lust. While Mettle typically writes and produces her own tracks, Dreamz showcases the beautiful complementary production of Jacob Weinreich. This maxi-single was further elevated by the masterful touch of Stephen Kerrison (Weird Jungle) during the mastering process. The cover art, designed by Kate Dodd, is a seamless merging of oil paint and digital art.
