EP: THE END AND THE BEGINNING – THE GREAT LESLIE

The Great Leslie is more than just a band – it’s a brotherhood of misfits who have found their place in the world by coming together to create something unforgettable. They are an assembly of artists, each bringing their own unique perspective to the table. Ollie Trevers‘ vocals and guitar weave emotional tapestries, Ryan Lavender’s drums drive with energy, Alfie Pawsey’s bass anchors with soulful vibrations, and Freddie Miles’ lead guitar shines with virtuosity.

In late 2022, The Great Leslie embarked on a new venture, laying down their debut EP; The End and The Beginning. Their single; Can’t Touch hit big on Spotify’s – ‘All New Rock’ playlist, earning the band repeated airplay on AmazingRadio and BBC Introducing. Second single; Get In peaked at number two on iTunes Alternative Charts and gained BBC and Apple playlist support. Now, the EP is here with the lead single; Wait Around taking centre stage. Exciting times for one of the few bands gracing the airwaves on a regular basis.

Like a storybook of heartbreak, The End and The Beginning EP takes listeners on a journey of love gone awry. Each track a chapter, each lyric a page, chronicling the highs and lows of relationships. This emotive body of work is the result of countless hours of effort and sacrifice, a testament to the band’s unwavering commitment to their art. Through each melody and verse, The Great Leslie captures the essence of the development and eventual demise of love, painting a picture of the roller-coaster ride that is matters of the heart.

“It is the story of the start of a relationship which presents itself in the form of a chance meeting at a bar where your eyes meet with a stranger from across the room and your heart begins to race. It forebodes the fate of a romance that has barely begun and tells the tale of someone waiting for love in spite of a past marred with heartbreak.”
