Chilli Jesson is a name you may have heard before; and if you haven’t, now’s the time for you to perk your ears up. Originally bassist/vocalist of the indie rock band: Palma Violets – Jesson later went on to put in place a solo career after the groups split in 2016. After a flurry of releases throughout 2022, present day sees Jesson share his latest banger of a track. Thick Skin is the third single to come off the upcoming EP set to drop late this spring, continuing on from previously released Carolina Reaper and Gucci Wants The Suit Back.
Thick Skin is without doubt the most sincerely touching release so far off the approaching Carolina Reaper EP. Lyrically unveiling a message of isolation and disjointedness, taken from a time in Jesson’s childhood when coping with an untimely loss.

The track manifests a compelling beat from the start and as the ripping bass line grows, Thick Skin evolves into an optimistic dance style frame of reference, in light of rejoicing over the things that make us different and somewhat-alienated.
